Mission Statement

The mission of Little Patriots Early Learning Center is to provide a safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports preschooler’s social, cognitive, emotional and physical development necessary to construct their own knowledge and prepare them for their future school success.

Philosophy

The program provides an innovative curriculum with materials, experiences and teaching methods that are grounded in the National Association of the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) principles of child development including age and individual appropriateness. Little Patriots early learning center is undergoing the NAEYC Accreditation process and anticipates full accreditation for Fall of 2011.

We believe that children are intrinsically motivated to learn. The teaching staff promotes learning by providing an environment which encourages discovery, experimentation, and the opportunity to see the results of one’s actions.  We also believe that parents/guardians have the most influence in a child's life, their first teachers. We view parents as our partners in the education of their children.  All learning activities are presented through play. These activities engage the children so they can explore, experiment, imitate, ask questions and be questioned to further their thinking and problem solving skills.

1-8 right now. The more enrollments we attain the more staffing we require.  Little Patriots is now accepting infants and rations are 1-3 as of now and will adjust as needed.

What do you want the children in your care to gain while in your program?: 

Love and nurturing, routine, academics for the preschoolers and school aged children so they are well prepared for Kindergarten and elementary school years ahead. Lots of individual attention.

What sets your Agency apart from the other area Agencies?: 

We are sponsored by Veterans Inc. a non- profit agency that supports military and veteran families. Also we run our program with a lot of child assessments. We offer a lot of extra curricular family activities and we will be hosting mini parenting workshops on discipline and nutrition for their child.

Do you have the resources to accept special needs children?: 

Yes.

Have you had an “aha” moment with a child and/or a surprising result from the use of a classroom activity?: 

My staff was asked to begin using simple written morning messages during circle time and to their astonishment the preschoolers are beginning to recognize and point out the individual words in the sentences and actively participate in helping complete the sentence.

Is there anything else about your Agency that you would like to be mentioned?: 

Our teachers are well trained with degrees in Early Childhood Education and state licensed. They continue to further their education in the field.

We offer extremely low rates and accept child care vouchers.

We are conveniently located off of Cambridge St. 5 minutes from down town Worcester, I 290 and Rt. 146
